[ARCHIVED] Deputies Respond to Hayden Meadows Elementary for Possible Lockdown

Hayden, ID -  The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office responded to Hayden Meadows Elementary School for an email report of a Lockdown.

Deputies received a report of a possible lockdown alarm at Hayden Meadows Elementary School. Deputy Doug Goodman, the School Resource Officer, received a report of a lockdown alarm via the email system. Several KCSO Deputies, CDA Police and Idaho State Police responded to the school to investigate the cause of the alarm.  When Deputies arrived on scene, the building was checked in-side and out and no threats to the school or staff were discovered. It was determined that the alarm was set off inadvertently and unknown to the staff.

Deputies determined that at no time was there any threats to the children or staff and the school is back to normal operations.
