[ARCHIVED] Motorcycle Rider Sustains Injuries in Accident

Hayden, ID -  On 08-21-19, at around 11:05 p.m. the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office, Idaho State Police and Northern Lake Fire and Rescue responded to the area of Lancaster Road and Hwy 95 for a report of an injury accident involving a motorcycle.

Deputies arrived on scene and located a motorcycle lying in the middle of the roadway and a lone occupant/driver also in the roadway. The driver was identified as Christopher A. Koker, a 61 year old male from the Hauser Lake area.

Based on the initial investigation it appears the driver was traveling northbound on Hwy 95 and was turning westbound onto Lancaster Road when he lost control and crashed his motorcycle. The operator was thrown from the motorcycle and suffered head and facial injuries and was transported to Kootenai Health. Based on the initial investigation it appears alcohol was a factor in the accident. The operator was wearing a half helmet at the time of the accident. Due to the injuries, the Kootenai County Traffic Investigation Team responded and took over the investigation

This accident is still being investigated and more information will be sent out when it becomes available.
