Rathdrum, ID - The North Idaho Violent Crimes Task Force assisted Rathdrum Police and Idaho State Police with apprehending a wanted felon after he went on a crime spree on Tuesday the 11th of June in Rathdrum. Devin R. Bischoff, a 29 year old male from the Rathdrum area was involved in several crimes in the City of Rathdrum to include, Robbery, Kidnapping, Grand Theft, Battery on an Officer, Stalking and Felony Battery.
Rathdrum attempted to arrest Bischoff but he was able to get away and a vehicle pursuit was initiated with Rathdrum Police and Idaho State Police. After a short pursuit, Bischoff was able to elude officers. A warrant was issued for Bischoff, who was also a suspect of a vehicle theft Tuesday evening.
Members of the North Idaho Violent Crimes Task Force were able to track Bischoff down and attempted to make a traffic stop on him near his parents property on Diagonal Road. Bischoff fled on foot and Deputy Nelson and K9 Pogo were able to track Bischoff to a trailer on the property. Bischoff gave up when the K-9 located him. Bischoff was arrested and transported to the Kootenai County Public Safety Building for the warrant and Possession of Stolen Property.
Bischoff has a long criminal history in Kootenai County dating back to 2006. He has been booked into the Public Safety Building 10 times for crimes ranging from inattentive driving, cruelty to children, theft and possession of controlled substances.
