Stabbing South Cedar St in Post Falls

Post Falls Idaho-  On October 23rd, 2022 shortly after 11 P.M. Post Falls Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call from a person in the 100 block of South Cedar in Post Falls.  The caller stated a person had broken into their home and a physical altercation had ensued.  The suspect was known to the residents of the home.  During the altercation, the suspect was stabbed by one of the residents in the house and the suspect was pushed outside and left the scene.

Post Falls Police responded to the residence and requested medical attention for the residents who sustained injuries during the altercation.  Those injuries were non-life threatening.  

Additional Officers from the Post Falls Police Department located the suspect in a vehicle a short distance away.  Once the suspect was detained by Officers, they began to treat some serious stab wounds on the suspect until Kootenai County Fire & Rescue arrived and took over care of the suspect.  The suspect was transported to Kootenai Medical Center for treatment.   The status of the suspect is believed to be stable at this time.
