Post Falls Idaho-  On February 1st at 12:50 P.M. Post Falls Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call from a resident of Post Falls reporting a shooting in the 100 block of West 16th in Post Falls.  Post Falls Police patrol units responded and secured the scene of the shooting.  An adult female victim was found in the garage of the residence with a gunshot wound to her head.  An adult male was found in the driveway also with a gunshot wound to his head.  The female was awake and talking to responding officers and was transported to Kootenai Health for treatment.  The male adult was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Preliminary information suggests that this shooting stemmed from a domestic violence incident and the deceased male attempted to shoot the female before taking his own life.  Post Falls Police Detectives are currently on scene investigating.   This case is still under investigation and more information will be released at a later time.  At this time, we are not releasing the name of the victim or suspect.
