Hayden, ID - On December 18, 2018, at approximately 2:10 a.m., Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the area of N. Emerald Dr and N. Amethyst Dr for a report of a vehicle burglary. A homeowner called in stating they just caught two individuals breaking into their car and the individuals fled on foot.
Deputies responded to the area and located a male who fled on foot and started jumping fences in backyards in the area. A second male was also seen running from the area and into a residence in the area. The owner of that residence said the unknown male did not belong in his home. Deputies searched the house and found Cole N. Curtis hiding in the garage and he was taken into custody.

Deputies attempted contact at Taylor’s house but he was not home, however, the residents called back a short time later saying Taylor returned home. Taylor was contacted and admitted to the burglary and was taken into custody as well.
