Kootenai County SWAT Team Responds to Barricaded Wanted Person

Rathdrum, Idaho: On October 28th at around 4:00 pm a Deputy responded to the area of N. Atlas Road in an attempt to locate a male wanted for 1st Degree Stalking, Burglary and Theft.  As the Deputy arrived in the area, he observed the wanted person, Leroy S. Wilske a 46 year old male from Rathdrum, Idaho in a vehicle pull into a residence on in the 15000 block of N. Atlas Road.  The male was then seen entering the residence.   Multiple attempts were made to communicate with the male to have him come out, however he refused and barricaded himself in the residence.  

As a result of the warrant and that he had barricaded himself, the Kootenai County Joint Agency SWAT team was called to the scene.  

At approximately 9:10 pm the male was taken into custody on his warrant and other charges.  Wilske has been arrested 22 times in Kootenai County for drugs and alcohol offenses.
