Post Falls, Idaho: The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office has arrested William P. Plummer, 44 of Post Falls, ID for Felony Domestic Battery in the Presence of a Child and Attempted Strangulation.
On October 31.2018, at about 8:30 p.m., the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of someone screaming in the background. Deputies responded to the 4600 block of E. Woodland Dr. near Post Falls and discovered a female who appeared to be the victim of a domestic violence incident. Deputies attempted to contact the suspect, Plummer, but he would not respond and appeared to be barricading himself inside the home. Due to the seriousness of the offense and Plummer refusing to contact deputies on scene, the Sheriff's Office deployed the Kootenai County Multi-Agency Swat team.
Once on scene, members of the Multi-Agency Swat Team were able to quickly ensure the safety of the other nearby residents and attempted to communicate with Plummer. A short period of time later Plummer was safely taken into custody.
Due to the nature of the investigation, we do not have any further information for release at this time. Plummer’s booking photo was not available at the time of this release, but will be later today.
