[ARCHIVED] KCSO Responds to Roll-Over Injury Accident

Hayden, ID - Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office responds to a roll-over injury accident in the area of Hayden Lake Road and Dodd Road.

On Monday, December 9th, 2019, at about 7:20 pm, the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office and Northern Lakes Fire and EMS responded to the area of Hayden Lake Road and Dodd Road for a one vehicle roll-over accident. It was initially reported that one occupant was ejected from the vehicle and the vehicle had rolled on top of them. Due to the nature of the crash, the Kootenai County Traffic Investigation Team was paged out to help investigate the accident.

On scene, emergency response personnel determined the vehicle was traveling at a very high rate of speed and failed to negotiate a curve in the road, rolled and struck a power pole. It was learned the vehicle had three occupants. All three occupants were conscious and alert. Two occupants were transported to Kootenai Health via ambulance and the third was transported by a relative to Kootenai Health.

As a result of the investigation it was determined that Triston H. Beach, a 22 year old male from Coeur d’Alene was the driver. He sustained serious but no life threatening injuries. Beach was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle during the accident.

The other two passengers were identified as Hollie E. Linton, a 20 year old female from Coeur d’Alene, who sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries and Kamron L. Weber, a 27 year old male from Hayden who sustained significant, but non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation revealed that none of the occupants were wearing a seatbelt and alcohol and/or drugs were a contributing factor to the accident. At this time, the crash is still under investigation and charges against the driver will be forthcoming.
