The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office is located in the County's seat of Coeur d'Alene. The Sheriff's main campus sits on 16 acres and is comprised of the:

County Information

Our office provides law enforcement and public safety services to one of the most beautiful areas in Idaho. Kootenai County is over 1,300 square miles in size, including 250,000 acres of national forest. It is the largest boating community in Idaho with its 18 lakes and 54 miles of navigable rivers. Kootenai County is home to over 147,000 people, making it the third-most populous county in Idaho. In 2011, the U.S. Census Bureau combined Spokane County, Washington and Kootenai County into a single metropolitan area with a combined population of over 630,000. Our area has established itself as a destination for regional, national and international travelers.
